Board Scraper – Paint scraper for flat surfaces

Speedheter’s board scraper is effective and easy to use on heated paint. This scraper is designed to work on flat surfaces, for example, when scraping exterior clapboars, siding, and trim. Make sure to heat old paint beforehand following the Speedheater method. The Speedheater board scraper also features an ergonomic handle that makes the job even easier without damaging the wood.

A scraper blade made from the highest quality special steel

Our smart scraper features a blade insert that is designed for a variety of profiles. The blade is made of hard, durable special steel, making our scraper a long-term investment for countless projects to come. Additionally, the backside of the blade can be sharpened, which also preserves the blade’s unique profiles on its front.

Board scraper tips and tricks

  • Make sure the paint is properly heated
  • Lift and lower the scraper before each new stroke
  • Re-Sharpening - Only sharpen the backside of the blade
  • Our replacement blades make it easy to switch out the blade when needed

Expert Advice You Can Trust

Chris lives nearby so I hired him for advice about adding insulation and Unico AC to our 1889 house and repairing the antique carriage doors on our 1930s garage. He spent an hour with me looking at everything thoroughly and making suggestions, then followed it up the next day with a detailed report complete with explanatory photos and contact information for a couple of craftsmen he thought could help me. His enthusiasm was a pleasure and his expert advice was both helpful and reassuring — much like it is online.
